CAROL BERTULIS

In 1989 Carol became a Naperville Township Trustee. In 1990, in order to fill a vacancy, Carol was appointed to the position of Township Clerk and is still serving as Clerk. In her position as Clerk she was instrumental in getting absentee voting into the township office and reaching out to the community to register eligible high school students to vote. She also made paid passport applications available at the township office. Carol has been very active in the Township Officials of Illinois serving as President of the Clerks Division and also served on the T.O.I. Board of Directors. She has been a strong supporter of T.O.I. annual scholarship program and informing the local high schools of this scholarship program. Carol has been a Republican Precinct Committeeman for more than 20 years, and has also served two years as Treasurer for the DuPage Federation of Republican Women. Currently she is Vice-President of the DuPage County Township Clerks Association.

Carol and her husband, Jack, and their 4 children have lived in Naperville since 1976. Their oldest son, Todd a graduate of Purdue University and wife Ann Marie, have three children. He is a Major in the Army, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas but currently serving in Iraq. Their second son, Scott a graduate of Northern Illinois University and wife Karin, has two children and live in Plainfield. Daughter Jessica, a graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School and Southern Illinois University currently is living and working in Los Angeles. Son John, also a graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School and Western Illinois University, lives in Naperville. Carol is a long time member of Big Woods Congregational Church and also an active member of the local Moose.
